ArtCraft 2D canvas: compose before generating

Use sketches, references and masks to guide a composition, with a link to the official 2D Editor Basics video.

Based on ArtCraft documentation, not hands-on testing.

Start with the layout

The official canvas guide (opens in a new tab / 新窗口打开) describes a drawing and arrangement workflow: establish the background and subject placement, add references, then ask a model to develop the image. It is useful for storyboards and product mockups.

A small first exercise

  1. Sketch a clear subject and background with contrasting shapes.
  2. Arrange reference images to indicate scale and position.
  3. Mask the region you want to edit, or protect areas that should remain.
  4. Add a short instruction about style and lighting, generate and compare the result with your layout.

Treat preservation of structure as the intended workflow; inspect each result for changed geometry or details. The Wiki has not measured model consistency.

Refine a small region

For eyes, hands or lettering, use a tight mask and a focused instruction rather than rebuilding the whole image. See image editing and the model source comparison.
