Based on ArtCraft documentation, not hands-on testing.
What the official demo shows
The VectorCraft product page (opens in a new tab / 新窗口打开) includes a video of an agent drawing through MCP. It describes menus, tools, panels and dialogs as commands exposed to agents. The output remains editable vector artwork. Our product guide includes the official video and tool screenshots; playback starts when you choose to play.
An automation interface does not mean that installing the editor connects your agent automatically. This article summarizes official documentation. We have not run the integration or verified the demo's exact prompts and full procedure.
Prepare before connecting
- Choose an official release in the download directory. Decide whether you need the desktop editor or a standalone CLI. Expand “Other platforms & developer tools” to find the macOS universal CLI package. Check version-specific documentation for commands and builds on other systems.
- Read the official repository (opens in a new tab / 新窗口打开) documentation for your installed version. Confirm how to start the MCP server, configure your agent and discover available tools. The automation overview explains CLI, JSON and MCP interfaces.
- Create a practice document, set the agent's permitted scope and confirm how to save an editable original. Keep your only copy of an important project separate.
The marketing page does not supply a universal MCP client configuration, so this guide does not invent launch commands. Connection details depend on the release, client and local setup.
A suggested first task
Try a simple event poster. This is a suggested practice prompt, not the prompt from the official demo:
Create an event poster in a new document. Keep the title, date and background shapes as separate editable objects. Show me the layout first, then export SVG and PNG after I review it.
Check editable objects and layers, then inspect text, fonts, dimensions and exports. Request one clear revision at a time, such as changing the title spacing or background color, so you can assess the result.
Revolve, dimensions and file exchange
Official screenshots show 3D revolve, linear and angular dimensions, and a two-point perspective grid. The v0.12.0 release notes (opens in a new tab / 新窗口打开) document smooth vector shading for revolve, a dimension tool, legacy .ai export that keeps groups and layers, and Web improvements for Apple Pencil, pressure and touch input.
Legacy .ai export does not establish compatibility with every Illustrator document or effect. Check SVG, PDF and raster exports in the receiving application too. The WebAssembly build still needs to be hosted yourself; touch support does not establish a hosted online editor.
As of October 21, 2026, the latest GitHub release is v0.13.1 (opens in a new tab / 新窗口打开). It also restores the macOS save-format menu and adds Dutch, Danish, Hindi and Indonesian interfaces. Read the release notes for the complete changes.
October release context
Version 0.17.0 adds OpenType SVG color-font drawing and vector export, with Linux pen-tablet improvements. These are editor changes, not proof that an MCP connection is configured. See the official release (opens in a new tab / 新窗口打开) and the complete screenshot gallery.
